I was excited to celebrate Gabby's 5th birthday. I had thought about the fact that after this year, she would be starting school. So, I decided to go all out and take her to the American Girl Store for the day. She would most likely be in school for the next few years on her actual birthday.
One of the things that I love about Gabby is that she loves surprises. She is a rare kid that if you asked if she wanted to know where we are going tomorrow or be surprised, she would say, "Be Surprised!" Teddy was really excited for Gabby's birthday also. He had a list of things that he wanted us to buy her for her birthday and then went shopping with Ted to get them for her. I had also planned to surprise her with a Barbie cake. On the morning of her birthday, she woke up and Teddy was the one that told her that I was taking her to the American Girl Store for the day. She was thrilled. She then saw her Barbie cake and was even more excited. She opened her presents from her brothers-a Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly) CD and a leapster game.
All day long, she kept calling the store, "the American Girl Scout Store" which made me laugh. She
